A recent survey shows 45% of SMBs have taken out a loan to manage higher costs due to inflation and another 32% say they’ll have to raise prices soon if inflation persists. “Rising interest rates” The Fed plans to raise interest rates in the coming months. Which means that even though loan approval rates have increased in every category of lender, you may end up paying a bit more than you’d hoped. Besides national banks and institutional lenders, there are community banks, credit unions and ‘fintech.’ In fact, ‘web-based’ lenders have some of the highest approval rates for minority-owned businesses. “State-sponsored grants” While many federal programs are coming to an end, states are picking up the slack. Many states throughout the U.S. are offering grants to help small business owners stay afloat. New Jersey is offering $15 thousand, Massachusetts is offering up to $75K!
